Primus Poster Series

To all the Hornswogglers, Snozzwangers and Rotten Vermicious Knids,
It is time once again to announce the Artist lineup for our ongoing Primus Poster Series.

This time Primus is touring, supporting their imminent album release, "Primus and the Chocolate Factory," where each night we can expect an evening of thundering musical mischief and unadorned psychedelic mayhem, laced with delicious chocolatey decadence, and transdimensional Wonka-laden visuals.

As the resident curatorial advisor, I have asked each artist to create a themed poster, concocting their own unique take on the twisted world of Wonka. and Primus. Together... Yes, this is gonna be good.

So without further fondue, the Artist list (in alphabetical order) is as follows:

--------------------------------
Bioworkz
Rhys Cooper
Elvis Dead
Jeremy Fish
Alan Forbes
God Machine
Hydro74
Jesse Hernandez
Mario Martinez
Drew Millward
Mike Mitchell
Morning Breath
Phantom City Creative
Jim Pollock
Jermaine Rogers
Reuben Rude
Todd Slater
Jeff Soto
Chuck Sperry
Marq Spusta
Ken Taylor
Mark Dean Veca
David Welker
Zoltron

--------------------------------

For each and every performance of the tour, festivals withstanding, we will release a small number of limited edition, hand printed, show-specific, silkscreen posters The poster series will reconvene with poster #127 in Upper Darby, PA and commence with poster # 150 in Riverside, Ca.

Posters will be available for purchase from our pal Dave at the merch booth during each show. Like last tour, we expect the posters to sell out quickly. Note: A small number of the artist's personal copies from the same edition will likely be available at their respective websites - stay tuned here and/or follow the links above.

Ps. "I'm sorry, but all questions must be submitted in writing."

SPRING TOUR POSTER SERIES 2014

I remember it as if it were a meal ago…. And here we are once again, on the eve of another glorious Primus tour.

As has become customary for such an outing, I rattled some creative cages and knocked down some fancypants artdoors® and after lots of bartering, badgering and general pandering, I convinced a number of heavy-hitting artists to each design a commemorative, limited edition silkscreen poster for one of the stops along the tour.

Each performance, excluding the festivals, will have 100 (and occasionally more) hand printed posters available for purchase from the merch booth. Like every show in the past, we expect the posters to sell out quickly. Remember.. The early worm gets eaten by the bird. (And yes, poster tubes will be supplied.)

The individual posters will be unveiled the night of each show, at the gig, on the Primus facebook page and here, at Zoltron.com.

Such a multitude of masculinity (and some very welcome femininity) could only be found in one place... So in Alphabetical Order, Here are The Artists involved in the Spring 2014 Poster Series.

2013 Primus Spring Tour Poster Artists Announced!
Everyone's favorite musical Trio, (No, not Peter, Paul and Mary) Primus is hitting the road again this Spring.

And guess what..? We're gonna do Another Poster Series…. This tour will conclude with our 106th poster since we started the series a few years ago, which is pretty sweet considering we originally set out to make a series of limited edition beer cozies instead.

This time around, I called on a number of heavyweight poster artists to be involved and they all responded with such enthusiastic replies as, "yeah, i guess..." "umm, ok..." and "who's Primus..?"

But nonetheless, once again we have a list of All Star Artists, each of whom will visually represent a single Primus performance with a hand printed, silkscreen poster, flowing from the depths of their creative (and sometimes twisted) imaginations.

Each performance, excluding the festivals, will have roughly 100 posters available for purchase from the merch booth - and like every show in the past, we expect the posters to sell out quickly. As usual, Dave the merch guy will supply tubes to protect your newly acquired flat stock treasures.

The individual posters will be unveiled the night of each show, at the gig, on the Primus facebook page and here, at Zoltron.com.

That's it.
Love, Zoltron

Primus called... They want their poster series back.

With great excitement and an overly aggressive schedule that would make any sane project manager cringe, we have decided to ignore reason and embark on another epic poster series for the Primus Fall Tour.

This time around, the boys are heading out on the road with an ambitious 3D tour, the first of it's kind, where each 2-set performance will be accompanied with unique stereoscopic visuals and quad stereo sound.

On a rare occasion such as this, we've decided to continue the series and release a small number of limited edition, hand printed, show-specific, silkscreen posters to accompany each and every performance (festivals withstanding). The poster series will reconvene with poster #59 in Poughkeepsie, New York.

100 (tubed) posters will be available for purchase from our pal Dave at the merch booth during each show. Like last year, we expect the posters to sell out quickly. Note: A small number of the artist's personal copies from the same edition will likely be available at their respective websites - stay tuned here and/or follow the links below.

All rambling aside, To all Primus fans, Poster fans, and any Person who appreciates awesome things. Here it is...The (amazing) 2012 Primus Fall Tour Poster Artist list.

2012 Primus Spring Tour Poster Artists Announced!

For one curious reason or another, Primus management asked me to dust off my curatorial pantaloons and put together another poster series for this year's tour...

2011 Poster Series.
The heavies at Primus management asked me to curate a poster series for the band's first major outing in more than 11 years. The project would entail a numbered run of unique, hand made silkscreen posters, designed by a new artist and printed by a custom silkscreen house for each and every venue on the tour. 20 artists for 21 shows in 30 days...

I agreed, but naturally decided to heavily procrastinate until the last possible moment, before drinking 3 red bulls and reaching out to a group of friends, all highly creative and partially insane like myself. I asked them, one by one, if they were interested in doing a Primus poster and it was surprisingly unanimous, other than one anonymous party who told me to "Go eat a bag of dicks.."

Next step was lining up 9 different silkscreen print houses, all spread out from Oakland to Minnesota, and one 19th century hand press, to handle crafting our art into a poster series.

Here's a list of the blokes I somehow convinced to take part in this mayhem...
Individual posters will be announced the day of each show via Primus' Facebook page. and a small number of the edition will be available from the artist's sites, linked below, following each show.
